In our site, we have descriptions of Geography classes, the current quarter's schedule of classes, a listing of instructor code numbers used in registering for Independent Studies classes, and a list of geography-related courses offered by other departments that you can petition to apply to your upper-division Geography requirements:

to undergraduate course descriptions Undergraduate Course Descriptions
to graduate course descriptions Graduate Course Descriptions
to fall schedule of classes Related Courses From Other Departments
to instructor code numbers Schedule of Geography Classes
to related courses from other departments Instructor Code Numbers.

Please be advised that the Schedule of Classes page is a very large file: nearly 170 KB. If you are accessing through a 28.8 modem, it may take 50 seconds to load. You might prefer to stop by the Department office for a paper copy.

Some of the professors have course notes or details about classes they teach on their own web sites. You can access their web sites through their department site pages, which can be found through the Faculty Index page.

The text for the department's class that introduces the UNIX computer operating system, Geography 13, is on-line.

If a student is having difficulty with a class - for whatever reason - help is available. In addition to the assistance individual instructors and teaching assistants can give, the campus has tutoring, counseling, and accommodations help for the disabled.
